Sharing the flip side to the action is never really that exciting, like the stuff that goes on when I am not out in the mountains. But lately the normal life has been pretty action packed, in a different sorta way... I started a new job building playgrounds this summer, kind of a funny combo of my kinesiology degree and my welding apprentiship. I am actually working for a friend of Murry's, who I was introduced to while sled touring in the Golden area (I blogged about the trip in March, see
Powder Hounds). Its been a fun and interesting summer so far, there is definatly some hard labour but its balanced with some playtime. Its also been one of the most positive environments I have worked in, haveing a group of kids cheer you on every recess is motivating! haha. I have also been given some sweet projects to putter away at, sometimes I take on too many but given the fact that I have a bit more free time lately its been keeping me busy!
You would be this happy too if you just got a new playground!
Kinda cool funky playground, but a pain to try and make it all square!
Welcome to my office.
This is what crack looks like for kids!
One of my side projects...
Starting to take shape as my new covered trailer.
(hopefully I will have a sled to go with this trailer one day...)
